Championship in Toronto, Canada, while scoring his forth

Mark Thomas leads the points chase in the Alcohol Funny Car Class,
with Rob Atchison in a slim second, but Munroe has managed to stay
within striking distance. “This has been a battle all year,” said Mike
“Pap” Croxall (Team Munroe’s Engine Fabricator). “We might not always
have the fastest car in the field, but if someone makes a mistake, Terry
will own’em and everyone else knows it. This will be an ‘A’ Game Race…
Bring your ‘A’ game or don’t bother showing up.” Thomas has been
battling through consistency and Atchison had a few problems earlier
this year, but the cream has raised to the top in these three … and
Munroe has set his sites at being number one.
Munroe & His Band of Misfits out of Beaver, PA have already taken steps
to aid in their cause of becoming World Champions, spending extra time
flowing parts and a ground up rebuild. “We’re not going to head into
Rockingham unprepared,” said Terry Munroe, “we’re going there
prepared to do what it takes to win… There’s no second place to my
guys (the Misfits), just a second looser. They worked so hard this year to
make things happen and I owe them everything… I’m sure that a World
Championship would make us about even.”
Terry Munroe and his “Band of Misfits’ will be easily found in the
Rockingham Pits. Just look for the World Famous “Misfits Rat Rod”. If
you’re making the trip to the World Finals, stop by the Pits and give the
Misfits your support.
