The Department of Defense (DoD) requires all of its crating and packaging to follow a strict guideline in
regards to all materials it purchases. These specifications encompass just the style and designated
information for the crating of the item and DO NOT pertain to the Preservation of the item packaged.
These Specifications are listed with in each contract that the DoD signs. Specifications will range to size,
weight, and general make-up of the crate to be used, cribing and dunnage will also be assigned within
the same contract. It will describe refined information that you must comply to, before being accepted
into the DoD mainstream.
